I started out as a TV and radio personality as a correspondent for the NBA’s show “Inside Stuff” as well as hosting my own ESPN show called “Unbelievable Sports, a career highlight! After 20 years, I felt like something was missing. So I made the difficult decision to start over and in 2003, I opened Half Moon Bay Dogs, a dog sitting business, on the coast of Northern California. Business was great, but after I graduated with honors from Animal Behavioral College, I was able to expand the business to include training. I was always a natural with dogs, but once I started formal training, I realized how much more I could do to be an effective trainer. My relationship with my own dogs benefited immensely and I was so pleased to be able to share my new found knowledge with my clients. I chose A.B.C. (Animal Behavior College) because I liked their training philosophy. The curriculum is based on positive motivational training methods and behavioral problem solving. The program begins by teaching students how to build a proper canine/human relationship. Creating a relationship built on positive interaction and consistency can often deter future unwanted behavior problems, facilitate faster learning and even solve some existing behavioral challenges. I am so lucky to say I am pursuing my true passion now. Life on television was fine, but my life with dogs is fantastic!
