Jeremy started his training career in zoos and aquariums working with exotics before moving into the animal shelter and welfare world. He worked with fear, anxiety and stress in shelter animals for several years and then branched out to train companion animals all over the country. One of Jeremy’s passions is education and he has attained several certifications in animal training and behavior. He is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), a Certified Behavior Consultant Canine (CBCC-KA), a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (CDBC), a Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP), and a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT). Jeremy decided to specialize in separation related distress in dogs because it is so often thought of as “untreatable” (even by many trainers!). Fortunately, with patience, separation anxiety can be treated, and a vast majority of dogs see dramatic improvement. Jeremy is very excited to help dogs feel comfortable when left alone and let their guardians enjoy leaving the house again.
