About

Camille Asmer is the owner of Canine Behavior Solutions in Charlotte, NC. She began her training career as a volunteer with a nonprofit organization that bred, raised, and trained English Labradors for service and support roles for people with disabilities. Through this experience, Camille quickly discovered a deep passion for the work and found a way to merge her professional life with her lifelong love of dogs, building a thriving business grounded in positive reinforcement and Fear Free principles. As she entered the field, Camille realized that addressing canine behavior challenges was her true calling. She has dedicated herself to developing a strong foundation in behavior science and remains committed to ongoing education, continuously engaging with the latest research and advancing her skills. Camille holds certifications through IAABC in both training and behavior (CDBC, IAABC-ADT), as well as through CCPDT (CBCC, CPDT-KA). She is also a certified Fear Free Training Partner and FDM. In addition to running her own business, Camille works with Dr. Maggie O’Brian, DACVB, at Southeast Animal Behavior and Training, and serves as the Events Director for the IAABC Foundation. Camille’s favorite part of her work is witnessing the “light bulb” moment when clients truly understand both the “how” and the “why” behind their training. She believes that meaningful connection with clients—alongside effective teaching—is essential to success, and she is passionate about helping both people and their dogs learn, grow, and thrive together.
