Ciera is a co-owner and full-time behavior consultant at Instinct, working virtually for the D.C. and Portland branch, and in-person at the San Diego branch. She regularly works with a wide range of breeds and temperaments, helping dogs & their owners navigate complex behavior issues. In addition to her direct work with clients, Ciera has contributed behavior and training advice to national publications, including The Washington Post, The New York Times, and The Guardian. Her background in shelter environments and a behavior specialty clinic gives her a nuanced understanding of animal behavior, allowing her to approach complex cases with unique insight and precision. She is dedicated to giving guardians the tools and confidence to enjoy life to the fullest with their animal companions, utilizing her extensive experience in behavior modification and fundamental training to set pets and their people up for success.
