Mandy Eakins is a certified canine behavior consultant and professional dog trainer with a passion for helping dogs and their people thrive together. She holds the Certified Training Partner title from the Karen Pryor Academy, the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers, Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) certification, and is a Certified Canine Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). Since 2014, Mandy has worked full-time as a professional trainer and is the owner of Manners Matter, a dog enrichment and training center serving the Lexington, Kentucky area. She has collaborated with respected veterinary behaviorists in clinical settings, addressing complex behavior cases with evidence-based, compassionate methods. Mandy also serves as a faculty advisor for the Victoria Stilwell Dog Training Academy and is a proud member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), where she helps advance education and professional standards within the field. When she’s not teaching or consulting, Mandy enjoys life on her farm—caring for her goats, pigs, cows, donkeys, chickens, and barn cats—and training her own dogs for various dog sports.
