My mission as a dog trainer is to provide relief to dogs living in fear and/or struggling with aggression. I help pet parents build strong relationships with their dogs by teaching them how to accept, understand, meet the needs of, and advocate for their dogs. I coach the pet parents how to teach their canine companions on what is expected of the pet by creating positive associations and receiving amazing rewards. In other words, my training philosphy is to offer dogs and their humans safe, force-free, positive-reinforcement training programs to modify fear-based or aggressive behaviors. My training experience is very difersified. I am a classroom instructor leading beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes for reactive dogs; I have worked and addressed a gamut of behavioral challenges in shelter dogs, and with individual clients in private sessions. Prior to launching Totally Trainable, Inc, I spent two years as an ASPCA professional responder rehabilitating dogs rescued from cruelty and neglect while they were recovering at the Cruelty Recovery Center in Columbus, OH. In addition to Totally Trainable, LLC, I am also the Manager of Shelter Behavior at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in ​Madison, NJ. I hold several professional certifications. They are: - Certified Behavior Consultant, Canine -- Knowledge-assessed (CBCC-KA), from the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) - Certified Professional Dog Trainer -- Knowledge-assessed (CPTD-KA), also from CCPDT - Certified in Shelter Behavior, Dogs (CSBD), from the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC)
